Republican National Committee Co-chairwoman Lara Trump is adamant that former President Donald Trump’s campaign will not be jeopardized, even if he’s incarcerated following his July sentencing date due to his hush-money trial conviction. According to an interview with Real America’s Voice, Lara Trump emphatically asserted that Trump’s nomination during the Republican National Convention, scheduled for July 15, will go ahead unaffected by potential jail time or confinement.

In her words: “It doesn’t matter whether Donald Trump is in Trump Tower, Mar-a-Lago, or anywhere else they may try to put him… On the day that we will be nominating him as our official candidate… he will go on to be our candidate all the way to Nov. 5 when he then will be reelected as our 47th president.”

Additionally, Trump’s daughter-in-law acknowledged that his large number of felony charges, including his 34-count indictment for falsifying business records, have yet to hinder his support. In Lara Trump’s view, it’s resulted in a significant fund-raising surge for the Trump re-election effort.

She stated in the interview that people in this country are receptive to Trump’s campaigning message “because they see that this way is a third-world and communist concept and they do not desire to see the outcome of America.”
