President Biden Voices Support for Son Ahead of Federal Trial

President Joe Biden hinted at his view of his youngest son’s trial by releasing a statement on Monday praising Hunter Biden for demonstrating “strength” and “resilience in the face of adversity.”

Hunter is expected to face trial this week for three federal felony charges related to allegedly lying on a federal form about his extensive and public drug use during a 2018 revolver purchase. Previously, the Department of Justice under Joe Biden attempted to negotiate a lenient plea deal, which was ultimately blocked by a federal judge who suspected political favoritism by the Biden administration.

The Biden patriarch, who has defended his son’s supposed innocence for years, initially offered a standard “no comment” typical for presidents refraining from commenting on undecided legal matters.

“As the President, I don’t and won’t comment on pending federal cases, but as a Dad, I have boundless love for my son, confidence in him, and respect for his strength,” he said.

However, Joe Biden’s statement largely focused on his love and pride for Hunter.

“I am the President, but I am also a Dad. Jill and I love our son, and we are so proud of the man he is today,” he declared.

Joe’s support for Hunter was further highlighted in what Politico called a “rare public statement,” and by spending time with his son in the days leading up to the federal trial.

The president even made an unannounced visit to his daughter-in-law Hallie Biden days before she was due to testify against Hunter. This visit was ostensibly to commemorate the anniversary of Beau Biden’s death.

First Lady Jill Biden, who was previously the subject of her stepson’s scorn, also appeared unannounced at the Wilmington courthouse on Monday, leaving no doubt about the Bidens’ stance on Hunter’s possible conviction.

Despite the Bidens’ controversial behavior leading up to the trial, White House allies portrayed the president’s actions as that of a supportive father.

“President Biden commented as a loving father, as I would hope any loving father would do,” House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries told MSNBC.

Corporate media often laud Joe’s pride in his son as an admirable trait of a father’s unconditional love, neglecting to mention how the president enabled Hunter’s questionable and criminal behavior.

Joe funded his son’s liaison with escorts linked to Russia and issued a statement of approval for Hunter’s relationship with Beau Biden’s widow.

Importantly, when allegations of Biden family corruption surfaced before the 2020 election, Joe denied any involvement of his son with China despite evidence to the contrary. His then-campaign adviser Antony Blinken rallied intelligence officials to dismiss the news as Russian disinformation to protect Hunter and secure Joe’s election.

Meanwhile, when a whistleblower claimed that Biden-appointed U.S. attorneys blocked criminal tax charges against Hunter, Joe was seen spending time with his son at Camp David.

Whenever Hunter is embroiled in scandal, Joe aligns himself with his son, even at the cost of ignoring his preschool-aged granddaughter.

Though Hunter’s issues may not always directly impact the president, Joe maintains a close relationship with him, attending formal events and keeping him close, even when national security is potentially at risk.

As Hunter’s trial approaches, Joe’s implied message to jurors and prosecutors seems to be a warning against further tarnishing the Biden family’s image.
