Multiple universities in Israel have raised concerns about the rising antisemitism on university campuses in the United States and have offered support to faculty and students. In a joint statement released by presidents of universities such as Tel-Aviv University, the University of Haifa, the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Ariel University, and Bar-Ilan University, they addressed the violence, antisemitism, and anti-Israel sentiment present on U.S. campuses. The letter expressed deep concerns over the actions organized and supported by Palestinian groups, leading to fear among Israeli and Jewish students and faculty members.

The university presidents emphasized the importance of freedom of expression and the right to demonstrate, but also stated that violence, threats, and calls for the destruction of Israel are not acceptable. They offered support to Jewish and Israeli students and faculty facing challenges and pledged to assist those seeking to join Israeli universities.

Pro-Palestinian protests and encampments at universities like Columbia, Yale, New York University, the University of North Carolina, MIT, and George Washington University have led to suspensions, arrests, and canceled graduation ceremonies. Israeli universities have extended invitations for faculty and students to study and teach at their campuses as a response to the escalating situation in U.S. universities.

The increase in antisemitic sentiment in the U.S. following Hamas’s attack on Israel has been documented, with pro-Palestinian protests on the rise. Breitbart News attempted to reach out to Ariel University, the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, and the University of Haifa for comments but received no response.
