John Hundley, the father of singer and former American Idol contestant Mandisa, has stated that there are no signs of self-harm in the investigation surrounding his daughter’s death. According to Fox News, Hundley expressed his belief that the detective working on the case also believes that Mandisa did not harm herself, as there were no indicators such as scars or bruises to suggest otherwise.

Mandisa Lynn Hundley, known professionally as Mandisa, passed away at the age of 47 in her Tennessee home on April 18. The cause of her death is still unknown as the investigation continues, as confirmed by Franklin Police Department Public Information manager Max Wintz.

During a ceremony held at Brentwood Baptist Church in Nashville to celebrate Mandisa’s life, Hundley shared his perspective on what may have transpired leading to her passing. He mentioned finding her on the floor in her bedroom and discovering her phone on the opposite side of her bed, indicating that she may have fallen and been unable to call for help.

Hundley emphasized that Mandisa did not harm herself, attributing her strength and faith in the Lord to her ability to persevere even while dealing with the effects of COVID-19. He acknowledged the mixed reactions to his statements but expressed that he is grieving in his own way and trying to find happiness in honoring his daughter’s memory.

Despite facing criticism for speaking out, Hundley remains steadfast in his belief that Mandisa is at peace and that he is allowed to grieve in his own manner, including shedding tears. He shared his struggles with sleep and emotions following her passing, highlighting the difficulty of coping with her loss.

In conclusion, Hundley reiterated his commitment to remembering Mandisa with love and joy, echoing her spirit and the impact she had on those around her. Follow-up coverage can be found on Alana Mastrangelo’s social media platforms for further updates.
