A 25-year-old woman, Briley Shayne Turner, has been arrested and charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery after allegedly stabbing her partner multiple times with a variety of objects, including a baseball bat and a kitchen knife.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on Sunday evening at a residence in Kinser Flats, where officers responded to a neighbor’s 911 call reporting screams coming from the apartment. Upon arrival, police found Turner lying on the couch, covered in blood but unharmed, while her partner was discovered on the bathroom floor, bleeding profusely from multiple stab wounds.

The victim, who was rushed to the hospital, told police that Turner had attacked him without warning as they were preparing to take a shower. He claimed that Turner had struck him with a baseball bat before stabbing him repeatedly with a kitchen knife, which broke off inside his body.

Police found a bloody “tire plug tool with a metal spike on it” near the sink, as well as a blood-spattered baseball bat and the handle of a kitchen knife. The blade of the knife was later discovered lodged inside the victim’s body.

The victim suffered severe injuries, including at least nine stab wounds, two lacerations, and a broken arm. He reported that there had been no argument or provocation prior to the attack.

Turner, who has a history of substance abuse and prior convictions for possession of meth, exhibited bizarre behavior during her interaction with police. She made incoherent statements, including a claim that the victim had tried to put something down her throat, and refused to speak to officers further.

Turner was taken into custody and charged with one count of attempted murder, a Level 1 felony, and one count of aggravated battery, a Level 3 felony. Her arraignment is pending.
