Five men, accused of kidnapping a 14-year-old girl from Cass County, Indiana, were arrested by Missouri State Highway Patrol officers in Macon County, Missouri. The girl was reported missing by her father, who witnessed her getting into a black Dodge Durango with unknown registration. The father contacted the Logansport Police Department and a search was launched.

The girl’s cell phone pinged from a suspect vehicle with Texas registration, leading troopers to initiate a traffic stop on U.S. 36 near Hannibal, Missouri. The trooper observed a girl in the backseat who identified herself as the missing teen and removed her from the vehicle. The men, Marlon Aguilar of Honduras, Arturo Eustaquio of Mexico, Noe Guzman Hernandez of Mexico, Daniel Ruiz Lopez of Mexico, and Carlos Funez of Honduras, were brought into custody with assistance from the Macon Sheriff’s Office.

All five were transported to the Macon County Jail and formally charged with felony counts of kidnapping and endangering the welfare of a child. Authorities believe the men were transporting the girl to California.
