A 39-year-old illegal alien from El Salvador, Luis Portillo-Henriquez, has been apprehended by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents after evading detection for over a decade. Portillo-Henriquez first entered the United States illegally at least 14 years ago and has since accumulated a criminal record in Maryland.

In 2010 and 2017, Portillo-Henriquez was convicted of drunk driving and driving without a license in Baltimore County, Maryland. In 2021, he was arrested for a traffic violation in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and subsequently charged with drunk driving in Frederick County, Maryland.

In March 2023, Portillo-Henriquez was arrested in Baltimore, Maryland, and charged with driving with a suspended license. He was also charged with second-degree rape, second-degree child abuse, and other sexual offenses. In April 2023, he was convicted of drunk driving and sentenced to a year in prison. Portillo-Henriquez was also convicted of traffic violations in Prince George’s County and driving with a suspended license in May.

This month, ICE agents arrested Portillo-Henriquez in Ellicott City, Maryland, and issued a Notice to Appear (NTA) before a federal immigration judge. He is currently in ICE custody pending his deportation.
