Renewed airstrikes by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) pounded Hezbollah strongholds in Lebanon, with the military issuing an urgent evacuation notice to occupants of three residential buildings in Beirut. The warning, delivered by IDF Spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari late Friday night, came after the discovery of Hezbollah facilities hidden beneath the buildings.
The IDF had earlier unleashed bunker-busting bombs on Hezbollah’s Beirut headquarters, targeting the organization’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah. The fate of Nasrallah remains a mystery, but the IDF has vowed to press on with its assault on Hezbollah targets.
In the aftermath of Hagari’s statement, Israeli forces launched fresh attacks on the southern Beirut suburb of Dahiyeh and the coastal city of Tyre, located in southern Lebanon.
