IDF Finds Loaded Rocket Launchers in Gaza Strip Operation

0:00

During the ongoing operation in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have uncovered loaded rocket launchers. Rocket fire from Gaza into Israel has decreased following a surge in attacks after the October 7 terror incident. However, recent weeks have seen Hamas terrorists targeting humanitarian aid routes and Israeli cities near Gaza with rocket fire.

The IDF’s 401st Brigade combat team, operating under the 162nd Division, has been conducting precise operations in eastern Rafah. Unit 414, within the brigade, used drones to locate and destroy rocket launchers loaded with long-range rockets aimed at Israel. Additionally, significant rocket launch infrastructure was discovered and eliminated in Rafah.

These rockets are often launched from various platforms and directed at Israeli civilian areas, constituting war crimes. The IDF’s actions in uncovering and neutralizing these threats validate the ongoing operation in Rafah, despite objections from the Biden administration and international critics. Israel asserts that Hamas’s remaining battalions are concentrated in Rafah, near the Egyptian border.
