The vast majority of voters are opposed to the idea of President Joe Biden or former President Donald Trump becoming the next president. Many of these voters are choosing not to vote. This election will hinge more on voter turnout than on swing voters’ choices.
Because of this, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s conviction of Trump has become a significant boost for Trump’s campaign.
Bragg, funded by George Soros, is a prosecutor who lets violent criminals back on the streets but promised to hold Trump accountable for a “pattern of lawlessness over 20 years.”
The trial judge, a Biden donor, has a daughter working for the Biden campaign. He prevented key testimonies, including a federal election witness who would have testified that Trump committed no crime in categorizing payments to lawyer Michael Cohen as legal expenses.
Former Attorney General Bill Barr, who believes Trump shouldn’t return to the Oval Office, labeled Bragg’s case as an “obviously political” “abomination.” Even CNN’s Fareed Zakaria admitted doubts that the New York indictment would have proceeded if the defendant were not Trump.
In 2022, the Federal Election Commission fined Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign $113,000 for falsely reporting payments related to the Steele dossier, leading to the failed Mueller investigation. However, the FEC has never ruled Trump’s payments to Cohen as an election law violation, which is the core of Bragg’s case.
Trump committed no crime in this matter. Nonetheless, Bragg, aided by a partial judge and a biased jury, produced a verdict favorable to Biden and Democrats.
This prosecution by Bragg has been a blatant witch hunt, apparent to everyone except the most partisan Democrats seeking a guilty verdict for emotional satisfaction.
Bragg’s blatant misuse of the criminal justice system for partisan purposes has galvanized many. Following the verdict, Trump’s campaign donation site crashed due to a surge of supporters contributing financially.
The wealthiest and biggest donors, who were previously hesitant, are now eagerly supporting Trump.
Trump’s appeal has always been driven by passion and frustration with a system perceived as corrupt. This same system, now seen as targeting Trump unfairly, has only amplified these sentiments.
Supporters feel the injustice directed toward Trump by Biden, Bragg, and the Democrats. They believe they can counter this systematic injustice by voting for Trump.
Bragg has enhanced Trump’s emotional connection with millions of dissatisfied voters. This prosecution may backfire on Bragg and the Democrats, possibly sooner than expected.
