Lily Greenberg Call, a member of the radical anti-Israel group IfNotNow, recently resigned from her position as the special assistant to the Chief of Staff of the Department of the Interior. Her resignation was linked to the U.S. support for Israel in its conflict with Hamas.

IfNotNow, known for its pro-terrorism stance, has been involved in various anti-Israel protests, including the occupation of a U.S. Capitol office building. The group supports politicians like Reps. Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, who have made anti-Israel and antisemitic remarks. IfNotNow has also targeted Jewish institutions for protest.

The Associated Press reported Call’s resignation, highlighting her Jewish identity while downplaying her association with IfNotNow, describing it as an extremist fringe group within the Jewish community.

According to The Hill, Call resigned in protest of the U.S. support for Israel in the conflict with Hamas. She is among several officials who have left the Biden administration over this issue, and notably the first Jewish official to do so.

In 2022, Call penned an op-ed in Teen Vogue criticizing the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), a pro-Israel organization.

Questions have been raised about how Call initially obtained a high position within the Department of the Interior.
