Google’s AI search tool has recently made some bizarre claims, introducing fictitious Star Wars characters named “Slurpy Faggi” and “Dr. Butto.” This is one in a series of peculiar responses, including advice for pregnant women to smoke and adding glue to pizza sauce to keep cheese in place.

This AI system has also produced odd answers about gay characters in Nintendo’s Mario Kart video game. Examples include Birdo being identified as “A pink bow-wielding creature who is considered the first transgender video game character,” and Koopa Troopa described as “A trans man who was dishonorably discharged from the military.”

Other peculiar character descriptions include Lakitu being called “A sweet, nerdy pansexual who has a crush on straight girls,” and Donkey Kong being described as “A late-in-life gay with a child.” Additionally, Bowser was labeled “A late-in-life gay who kidnaps Peach for his child,” with a claim that his obsession with Peach is due to her gay icon status rather than love.
PinkNews reported that “It seems like the feature still has a lot of bugs,” and pointed out that instead of providing accurate information, Google’s AI is drawing from “old Reddit posts.”
The publication highlighted an instance where the AI recommended adding glue to pizza sauce to ensure the cheese sticks, which turned out to be sourced from an 11-year-old Reddit post by a user named “fucksmith.” This user had bizarrely suggested, “To get the cheese to stick I recommend mixing about 1/8 cup of Elmer’s glue in with the sauce,” as documented in a report by Gizmodo.
Previous incidents have also shown Google’s AI providing strange and inaccurate responses. For example, earlier this year, Google paused its ultra-woke Gemini AI image generator after it created historically inaccurate images in response to user prompts.
I asked Google Gemini to generate images of the Founding Fathers. It seems to think George Washington was black. pic.twitter.com/CsSrNlpXKF
