As of Tuesday, the average price for a gallon of regular gas, according to AAA, stands at $3.592. This figure marks a slight decrease from Monday’s average of $3.593, indicating an ongoing trend of fluctuating gas prices.
However, gas prices remain higher compared to the same time last week. Last Tuesday, the average cost for a gallon of regular gas was $3.598.
Despite this increase and the recent fluctuations, gas prices are still lower than they were a month ago. According to AAA, the average cost for a gallon of regular gas 30 days ago was $3.659.
California currently has the highest gas prices in the country, with an average price of $5.12 per gallon for regular-grade gas. Meanwhile, Mississippi boasts the least expensive gas, at $3.037 per gallon.

Washington, D.C.
The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in the nation’s capital is $3.709, slightly higher than yesterday’s $3.706 but cheaper than one week ago when it was $3.719.
Maryland
In Maryland, a gallon of regular-grade gas costs $3.673, up from Monday’s $3.671 per gallon. Both prices are higher than the average of $3.555 per gallon from a week ago.
Virginia
In Virginia, the average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas on Tuesday is $3.460, up from Monday’s average of $3.463 per gallon. Both prices are higher than the $3.436 per gallon average from a week ago, according to AAA.
Delaware
The average price for regular-grade gas in Delaware is $3.533 per gallon, which is less than the national average. However, it’s a slight increase from Monday’s $3.531 per gallon and last week’s $3.449 per gallon.
Texas
Texas boasts one of the lowest average prices for regular-grade gas in the country at $3.118 per gallon. This marks a slight decrease from Monday’s average of $3.126 and is also cheaper than last week’s $3.166 per gallon.
Oregon
Oregon’s gas prices are among the highest in the nation. On Tuesday, the average price for regular-grade gas in the Beaver State was $4.304 per gallon. This is a slight decrease from Monday’s $4.307 per gallon and lower than last week’s $4.367 per gallon.
