From the Track to the Screen: A First Look at Lewis Hamilton’s Formula 1 Film

A new film about Formula 1, co-produced by Lewis Hamilton, has piqued my interest despite my initial skepticism. The teaser trailer has left me wondering if this movie might actually be worth watching. F1, which stars Brad Pitt and Damson Idris, follows the story of a retired driver who is recruited to mentor a young up-and-coming driver.

The trailer’s final sequence, featuring the roar of the engines and the intense racing action, has me convinced that this movie needs to be seen in IMAX. However, I’m still wary that the film’s attempts to create a plucky underdog story may fall flat, given the massive resources and budgets of the teams involved.

The trailer also features a cameo from Guenther Steiner, the former Haas F1 team principal, which adds a touch of humor to the proceedings. Despite my reservations, I’m cautiously optimistic that this movie might surprise me and deliver a compelling racing film.
