Longtime actress Courteney Cox shared that her former co-star Matthew Perry often visits her in spirit since his passing in October 2023.

Cox and Perry played the roles of Monica Geller and Chandler Bing for ten seasons on the beloved sitcom “Friends.” Their characters fell in love and eventually married within the show’s storyline. During an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, while reflecting on her career and the iconic series, Cox revealed that she still senses Perry’s presence and spirit.

“He visits me a lot, if we believe in that,” Cox mentioned. “I talk to my mom, my dad, Matthew. I feel like there are a lot of people that are…I think they guide us.”

“I sense Matthew around for sure,” she added.

She warmly recalled Perry and highlighted his genuine kindness and big heart, along with his incredible sense of humor.

“I think he’s one of the funniest human beings in the world,” Cox stated. “He’s just so funny. He is genuinely a huge heart, obviously struggled. I’m so thankful I got to work so closely with him for so many years.”

Perry passed away unexpectedly in October 2023 after being found face-down and unresponsive in a pool at his home. An autopsy revealed that Perry died due to the “acute effects of ketamine.” He was 54 years old.

USA Today reported on Tuesday that Perry’s death is currently under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department and other U.S. agencies. The investigation aims to identify the source that provided the ketamine to Perry, as reported by NBC News and ABC News.

“Based on the Medical Examiner’s findings, the Los Angeles Police Department, with the assistance of the Drug Enforcement Administration and the United States Postal Inspection Service, has continued its investigation into the circumstances of Mr. Perry’s death,” the LAPD announced in a statement.
