Hezbollah’s claims of a successful attack on Israeli military targets have been met with ridicule and mockery after it emerged that one of its rockets hit a chicken coop, causing minimal damage.
The Iranian-backed terror organization launched a barrage of rockets and drones in response to Israel’s preemptive strike on its rocket launchers earlier on Sunday. Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah claimed that the attack was a retaliation for Israel’s killing of his second-in-command, Fuad Shukr, in Beirut last month.
However, Israel’s military operation, which involved 100 aircraft, successfully prevented many of the rockets from being launched, and the country’s missile defense system intercepted the rest. Despite this, Hezbollah claimed that its attack was a success, sparking widespread ridicule on social media.
Nasrallah’s boasts about the attack were met with skepticism and mockery, even in the Arab world, with many pointing out the disparity between his claims and the actual damage caused. The fact that one of the rockets hit a chicken coop, rather than a military target, only added to the ridicule.
Israel Hayom reported that Nasrallah’s claims were being widely mocked on social media, with many questioning the effectiveness of Hezbollah’s retaliation. The incident has highlighted the limitations of Hezbollah’s military capabilities and the effectiveness of Israel’s defense systems.
