A former high-ranking aide to New York Governor Kathy Hochul, who is accused of being a Chinese spy, allegedly visited the White House in May, despite being under federal investigation at the time. According to the New York Post, the tour was arranged by Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY), Sun’s former boss, whose office confirmed the visit on Friday.

Linda Sun, a naturalized American citizen born in China, had previously served as a top aide to both Hochul and former Governor Andrew Cuomo. However, her career took a dramatic turn in July when the FBI raided her home and arrested her, along with her partner, Hu.

The couple was subsequently arraigned in federal court in Brooklyn, as reported by Truth Voices. The incident has sparked outrage among several New York Republicans, who are now calling for an investigation into Governor Hochul’s administration in light of Sun’s arrest.

Rep. Meng’s office has confirmed that Sun’s White House visit was facilitated by the congresswoman, raising questions about the vetting process for visitors to the White House. The incident has also sparked concerns about the potential security risks posed by Sun’s alleged ties to China.
