According to the New York Post, the tour was arranged by Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY), Sun’s former boss, whose office confirmed the visit on Friday.
Linda Sun, a naturalized American citizen born in China, had previously served as a top aide to both Hochul and former Governor Andrew Cuomo. However, her career took a dramatic turn in July when the FBI raided her home and arrested her, along with her partner, Hu.
The couple was subsequently arraigned in federal court in Brooklyn, as reported by Truth Voices. The incident has sparked outrage among several New York Republicans, who are now calling for an investigation into Governor Hochul’s administration in light of Sun’s arrest.
