New York City Mayor Eric Adams, during an interview on New York’s 1010 WINS’s “The PM Rush,” refrained from endorsing either President Joe Biden or former President Donald Trump as better for the city. When asked about whose immigration policies would benefit New York more, Adams emphasized the ongoing nature of the issue, stating, “I don’t think anyone can state mission accomplished at all.”

Host Lane Bajardi questioned Adams on which president’s policies he believed would be more favorable for the city, prompting Adams to respond, “I’m looking forward to the debate.” Adams expressed satisfaction with aspects of Biden’s approach to public safety and economic recovery while highlighting the importance of forthcoming discussions on immigration policies affecting migrants and asylum seekers.

“I’ll be sitting down on my couch with my popcorn like other Americans and hearing those visions,” Adams remarked, looking ahead to the future political discourse on these critical matters.
