According to recent polling by Rasmussen Reports, the anti-Semitic protests at left-wing universities have had a negative impact on public opinion by double digits. The survey found that only 15% of Likely U.S. Voters were more sympathetic to the Palestinians due to the protests, while 42% were less sympathetic. 37% said the protests didn’t make much of a difference in their views.

These protests, which occurred at various left-wing colleges since April, involved violent demonstrations in support of Hamas and against Israel. The protesters engaged in destructive behavior, such as vandalizing buildings and blocking Jews from public spaces. The public has reacted negatively to these actions, with a majority expressing less sympathy for the Palestinians.

Despite attempts by some media outlets to spin the narrative in favor of Hamas, the majority of likely voters remain supportive of Israel. Only 19% sympathize more with the Palestinians, while 53% side with Israel. Black voters were an exception, with 35% showing more sympathy toward Palestinians.

Overall, the protests have backfired on the instigators, with the public expressing disgust and disapproval. The majority of voters continue to support Israel’s right to defend itself against Hamas, a terrorist organization dedicated to the destruction of Israel.
