Former Rep. George Santos (R-NY) has been indicted on 13 felony counts for misleading donors and misrepresenting finances. He has pleaded not guilty and is currently in plea negotiations. He initially planned to run as an independent but later withdrew his bid.

Former Rep. Jeff Fortenberry (R-NE) was convicted in March 2022 for concealing information and making false statements. Prosecutors are considering a retrial after an appeals court ruling.

Former Rep. Chris Collins (R-NY) and Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) were both convicted for corruption charges but received pardons from former President Donald Trump.

Former Rep. Corrine Brown (D-FL) faced fraud charges, served prison time, and attempted a comeback in 2022 but was unsuccessful.

Lastly, former Rep. Chaka Fattah (D-PA) was convicted of racketeering conspiracy and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
