Authorities in Stanly County, North Carolina are actively searching for the remains of Baylee Carver with the assistance of the Albemarle Police Department, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NCSBI), and the National Center for Exploited/Missing Children. Over 70 law enforcement agencies have joined the search efforts in Cabarrus, Rowan, and Stanly County, covering more than 250 miles using drones, K-9s, and GPS mapping technology.

The search was prompted by a 911 call from a resident in the 2900 block of Floral Drive on May 10th at around 4:30 a.m. Following an investigation by the police department and NCSBI, it was determined that 17-year-old Baylee Carver is presumed to be deceased. Joshua Biles, 20, has been arrested and charged with Felony Obstruction and Concealment of Death in connection to the case. Biles is currently held in custody at the Stanly County Jail.

At the moment, no further information is available regarding the ongoing investigation.
