Comedian Jack Black, a vocal supporter of President Joe Biden, was caught off guard by a joke about former President Donald Trump during a recent performance with his band Tenacious D in Sydney, Australia. The incident occurred when bandmate Kyle Gass made a remark about Trump during a birthday celebration for Gass.

As the band performed “Happy Birthday” for Gass, Black presented him with a cake and said, “Make a wish.” Gass responded with a joke, saying, “Don’t miss Trump next time.” The crowd erupted in applause and laughter, with Black also joining in on the humor.

The incident took place just one night after a gunman attempted to assassinate Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, shooting him in the ear and killing a rally attendee. The incident left several others injured.

Black’s history of anti-Trump comments dates back to 2017, when he called Trump an “evil f-cking warlock” in an interview with Conan O’Brien. He also referred to Trump as a “piece of sh-t” during the Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony in 2018.

In 2020, Black launched a podcast called “Bobbo Supreme,” which was described as an “obvious and intended” mockery of the Trump presidency.

The podcast focused on “an unhinged billionaire-turned-president who uses the Oval Office to sow racism and division.”

Black and Gass also endorsed Biden for president in 2020, urging fans to vote for the Democratic ticket.

Black has continued to support Biden, even appearing in a campaign photo with the president last month.

He has also endorsed Biden at a fundraiser in June.
