CNN’s Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta expressed concerns about President Joe Biden’s cognitive health following his recent debate performance. During an appearance on Newsroom, Gupta suggested that Biden should undergo cognitive testing to determine the cause of his observed cognitive difficulties.
Gupta noted that the signs of cognitive decline observed during the debate, including slow speech and confused ramblings, cannot be diagnosed solely through observation. However, he believes that further testing could provide valuable information and potentially identify underlying issues that could be addressed.
Gupta also addressed Biden’s previous medical testing, which did not include a cognitive test. He pointed out that the White House’s response to this omission was that there was no need for cognitive testing, despite the involvement of 20 specialists, including a neurologist.
