Republican Governor Doug Burgum of North Dakota criticized President Joe Biden for negotiating with terrorists and withholding crucial munitions from Israel to gain votes from the pro-Hamas wing of the Democrat party. Burgum called Biden’s actions unprecedented and accused him of negotiating for terrorists rather than following the standard protocol of not negotiating with them.

Burgum highlighted reports that the Biden administration is withholding 3,500 bombs from Israel while it battles Hamas, a designated Islamic terror group responsible for a brutal attack in October. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin confirmed the withholding of weapons due to concerns about Israel’s operations in Rafah, where its security depends on dismantling Hamas.

Biden acknowledged limiting transfers of American weapons to Israel based on moral opposition to its operations in Rafah, stating that the US will not support Israel’s war efforts in certain areas. Burgum criticized Biden for putting a red line for Israel and betraying a trusted ally to appease the pro-Hamas section of the Democrat party.

The North Dakota governor, who is considered a potential vice-presidential candidate for former President Donald Trump, emphasized that such actions would not occur if Trump were in office. He accused Biden of displaying weakness and betrayal, similar to his handling of Afghanistan.

Critics have argued that Biden’s decision to withhold authorized weapons from Israel without evidence of human rights violations is unconstitutional and violates the Impoundment Control Act of 1974. Some Republicans have even drafted impeachment articles against Biden for abandoning a key ally and weakening US foreign policy stance.

Former President Trump also criticized Biden for siding with terrorists and radical mobs, comparing his actions to the unrest on college campuses. The issue continues to draw criticism from Republican officials who accuse Biden of appeasing the pro-Hamas mob for personal political gain.
