Errol Hill, a 9-year-old boy from Fort Worth, Texas, narrowly escaped a life-threatening situation when his home was sprayed with bullets in a drive-by shooting. Security footage captured the terrifying moment when bullets shattered the walls of his home while Hill was sitting on the couch with his dogs. During an interview on Truth Voices’s “Banfield” show, Hill expressed feeling unsafe in his own home after the incident.

The drive-by shooting resulted in injuries to six people, including four children aged between 3 and 19. Hill recalled hearing the sound of bullets and quickly running to his parents’ room for safety. His mother, Maryjane Gonzales, shared her shock and fear as she tended to wounded children outside their home, applying pressure to their wounds and urging them to stay strong.

In response to the traumatic event, Gonzales started a GoFundMe campaign to support their family’s relocation to a safer environment. The community has rallied behind them to help facilitate the move.
