President Biden once again found himself in the middle of controversy, this time for remarks he made during a donor event in Washington, D.C. Biden claimed that the economies of China, Japan, Russia, and India were “stalling” due to their “xenophobic” policies. The White House press secretary and National Security Council spokesman struggled to clarify Biden’s comments, with allies like Japan and India expressing their displeasure.

Despite India’s supposedly “xenophobic” immigration policies, its economy grew significantly more than the Biden economy in 2023. The United Kingdom, with a high foreign-born population, had minimal economic growth in comparison. This challenges the notion that mass migration is necessary for economic success.

Biden’s history of gaffes and misstatements has put the White House in the position of cleaning up after him multiple times. From confusing world leaders to fabricating events in his own life, Biden’s credibility has come into question. There have even been discussions about potentially replacing him as the Democratic nominee, especially as former President Trump gains momentum.

As Biden continues to make missteps, it remains to be seen how much longer he will be able to maintain his position as President.
