President Joe Biden appears to be unaware that Hamas is currently holding five American hostages. His administration, along with the liberal media, shows little concern for the situation. There has been a lack of action taken to ensure the safe return of these U.S. citizens, whether through diplomatic means or military intervention.

Biden’s focus seems to be on pressuring Israel to halt its military operations, rather than applying equal pressure on Hamas to release the American hostages. Despite meeting with the families of the hostages and having one of the released hostages as a guest at his State of the Union speech, Biden has remained relatively quiet on the issue. The president’s lack of involvement may be seen as an attempt to avoid the topic during an election year, especially since it may challenge the narrative of his far-Left supporters.

While Biden has issued joint statements with other nations regarding the hostages, there has been little mention of their names in public discourse. He has demanded a ceasefire from Israel and withheld arms shipments, but has not made the release of the hostages a nonnegotiable condition for any ceasefire agreement.

Instead of pressuring Israel to cease its military actions, Biden should be warning Hamas of consequences until the hostages are released. The media’s focus on criticizing Israel instead of advocating for the American hostages is concerning. The lack of attention given to these hostages is unacceptable and shameful.

In the past, U.S. hostages were taken seriously and given significant media coverage. The contrast with the current situation, where hostages are not receiving the same attention, is striking. It is important for the president and the media to prioritize the safety and freedom of American hostages while also considering national security interests. The lack of action and attention to this crisis is concerning, and the hostages deserve better treatment from both the president and the media.
