She accused some Democrats of making anonymous statements about replacing Biden, calling it “bullshit.” Ocasio-Cortez stated that she is not attacking those who have publicly spoken out against Biden, but rather those who are afraid to do so publicly while making their opinions known to journalists.
The far-left congresswoman also expressed doubt that Democrats will unite behind Harris, stating that many are interested in removing not only Biden but also the entire ticket. She warned that the donor class, elites, and those pushing for Biden’s removal may not support Harris as a replacement nominee.
Ocasio-Cortez emphasized the need to consider the consequences of removing Biden and warned against groupthink and momentum. She encouraged a data-driven approach, stating that decisions should be based on facts and logistics, not just theoretical considerations.
Her comments come as rumors swirl about Biden potentially stepping down as early as this weekend, according to top Democrats speaking to Axios. However, Biden’s campaign has denied these reports, despite further reports that top Democrat powerbrokers are working behind the scenes to end Biden’s political career.
