Anti-Israel protesters have set up a new encampment at Columbia University, a month after the New York Police Department (NYPD) raided an earlier one.

Following the initial encampment, a second one emerged and was dismantled on April 30, when NYPD officers conducted a raid after protesters took over an academic building on campus.

Signs such as “We’re Back B**ches,” “All Eyes on Rafah,” and “No Donations ‘Til Divestment,” were seen hanging from a white tent in the encampment.

The third encampment at Columbia University coincides with the university’s preparations for alumni weekend.

The original encampment at Columbia University inspired similar setups at other universities nationwide, including George Washington University, the University of Chicago, and the University of North Carolina, among others.

Participants in these encampments and protests issued various demands, including urging universities to divest from Israeli companies, severing academic partnerships with Israeli institutions, and calling for a ceasefire in the conflict between Israel and Hamas, among other demands.
