Amanda Knox has been re-convicted of slander in an Italian courtroom despite being exonerated in the 2007 murder case of her British roommate while studying abroad in Italy.

She was found guilty of falsely accusing an innocent man of the murder. Knox has been sentenced to three years, but will not serve any additional jail time as the sentence has already been served.

Upon hearing the verdict, Knox remained expressionless, according to the Associated Press.

Following the murder of Meredith Kercher in the town of Perugia, suspicions were raised about Knox, a 20-year-old exchange student from Seattle, and her Italian boyfriend of one week, Raffae Ile Sollecito.
