Actor Alec Baldwin, along with his wife Hilaria, announced that their family, which includes seven children, will star in a reality TV series on TLC next year.

“We’ve got an exciting announcement to share! Coming in 2025,” Baldwin shared in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

“We’re inviting you into our home to experience the ups and downs. The good, the bad, the wild and the crazy,” Baldwin mentioned in his social media video announcement.

The video announcement highlights the chaotic atmosphere of the Baldwin household, featuring children screaming, running around, playing with toys, and attempts to corral them for the announcement.

The Baldwins, who have been married since 2012, have recently been in the media spotlight for various scandals.

Hilaria Baldwin has faced criticism for her fake Spanish accent, despite being born in Boston as Hillary Lynn Hayward-Thomas with no known Spanish ancestry.

The announcement video showed her speaking with an American accent, which sparked numerous comments making fun of her change in accent.

“Where did her accent go? And now she has like a little girl voice. I’m so confused,” one woman commented on Instagram.

“Are there going to be subtitles for the native English speakers?” another person joked.

“You would think it would be on Telemundo, no?” another person added humorously.

Alec Baldwin has been dealing with legal issues following the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins during a rehearsal on the set of the film Rust in October 2021. He has pleaded not guilty to an involuntary manslaughter charge. The 66-year-old actor’s trial is set to begin in July.

“Legal fees must suck,” one person remarked on his Instagram post.

“For people who claim to hate paparazzi, this is really bizarre,” another Instagram user noted.

In January 2023, Hilaria Baldwin asked the press outside their Greenwich Village home to respect their family’s privacy after Alec was charged with involuntary manslaughter. She again puzzled many when she spoke with a Spanish accent.

Last November, the Baldwins hinted at the possibility of a family reality show, comparing it to Keeping Up with the Kardashians and describing it as “a comedy.”

Alec Baldwin mentioned that they would only pursue the television show if it portrayed them authentically as a family.
