A murder that occurred on Woodridge Square Drive in Houston, Texas, on May 3 has been linked to a suspect who is reportedly transgender. The victim, Steven Anderson, was walking to pick up mail when a car approached him from behind and struck him, as reported by ABC 7.

The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Karon Fisher, is described as both a man and a woman by different sources. Fisher, who is reportedly a transgender woman according to the New York Post, allegedly ran over Anderson with his car, backed up over him, stabbed him nine times, and then kissed him before fleeing the scene.

Witnesses of the incident called 911, leading to the eventual arrest of Fisher by law enforcement. Fisher was charged with murder and has a history of prior criminal charges, including evading arrest and prostitution.

Neighbors are shaken by the disturbing nature of the incident, with one expressing concern for their own children’s safety in the area.
