In Reynolds Station, Kentucky, the search for 8-month-old Miya Rudd entered its sixth day, with law enforcement and search dogs yet to find any trace of the missing infant. Kentucky State Police, joined by cadaver dogs, continued their efforts but have not yet succeeded in locating her.
Trooper Corey King spoke on the devastating impact of street drugs on families and communities, highlighting the challenges faced by Miya’s parents, Tesla Tucker and Cage Rudd, who have struggled with addiction. This struggle has previously led to their other children being removed from the home due to unsafe conditions.
The latest search efforts utilized cadaver dogs to scour Hardin Lane, a location identified through forensic interviews and tips. KSP has indicated that any indication by the dogs of potential evidence will lead to the preservation and thorough investigation of the site.
King explained the detailed search process, noting the challenging terrain including a cemetery, wooded areas, and ditches filled with debris. These areas are being meticulously examined for any signs that might lead to Miya.
Emphasizing the importance of community assistance, King expressed gratitude for the tips received so far but acknowledged they have not yet resulted in finding Miya. He encouraged continued outreach, suggesting that someone might have crucial information or might even be safeguarding the child temporarily.
