Israel has shared a video showcasing its daring rescue operation where four hostages, captured by Hamas on Oct. 7, were freed over the weekend.
The footage depicts the Israel Defense Forces navigating through a wooded region before arriving at a house where they finally make contact with the captives. The sound of gunfire and small explosions is audible during the mission.
The freed hostages include Noa Argamani, 26, Almog Meir Jan, 22, Andrey Kozlov, 27, and Shlomi Ziv, 41. All were taken to Sheba Tel-HaShomer Medical Center near Tel Aviv following their rescue and are reported to be in good condition.
In the video, soldiers can be overheard reassuring the hostages, “We came to save you, stay calm.” Ziv, Meir Jan, and Kozlov are seen with shaved heads before being rescued. The captives appear to be taking refuge under a mattress or similar structure before being revealed by the IDF forces.
So far in Israel’s conflict with Hamas, Israeli forces have rescued seven hostages and killed three.
