A shooting at a bar in suburban Pittsburgh resulted in two fatalities and seven injuries, according to police reports on Sunday.
The Allegheny County Police Department’s homicide unit responded to a request for assistance from the Penn Hills Police Department following the incident at the Ballers Hookah Lounge and Cigar Bar in Penn Hills during the early hours of the morning.
First responders discovered the bodies of an adult male and female inside the bar at approximately 3 a.m. on Sunday. Seven additional victims were identified, some of whom were transported from the scene while others walked in to nearby hospitals, as stated by the Allegheny County police on social media.
One victim is currently in critical condition while the rest sustained injuries that were described as non-life-threatening in the statement.
According to county police, initial information suggests that “an altercation took place inside the bar and multiple individuals opened fire.”
No information was provided regarding the apprehension of any suspects at this time.
