YouTube TV Expands Multiview Feature to Android Devices

YouTube TV has announced that its multiview feature for watching four streams simultaneously is now available on Android phones and tablets. This release comes two months after YouTube TV rolled out the feature to iPhones and iPads.

The multiview feature, which debuted in March 2023, is designed for sports fans who want to follow multiple live games at once without the hassle of switching channels.

To use multiview on your Android phone or tablet, you need to update to the latest version of the YouTube TV app. You can then find the option in the “Top Picks for You” or “Watch in multiview” sections.

Although YouTube TV has started to make multiview a bit more customizable, you still can’t select any four channels to watch together. In a post on X, Google mentioned that while they’re currently offering curated multiview streams, they are working to improve flexibility and add more options in the future.

YouTube TV isn’t the only streaming service to introduce a multiview feature recently. In May 2023, Apple TV launched a similar feature for sports enthusiasts, and Peacock has announced that viewers will be able to watch four livestreams at the same time during the 2024 Paris Olympics.
