‘Very Polite Bear’ Breaks Into 5 California Homes, Grabs Frozen Chicken To-Go

A gentle but unexpected intruder broke into five homes in a Sierra Madre neighborhood on Thursday, leaving residents shocked and concerned.

According to police, a hungry bear made its way into four homes and a garage, searching for food over a nearly two-hour period. Despite its entry through the screen door, the bear did not cause any damage, but its visit left residents unnerved.

“I don’t feel threatened by them, but I wish it was different,” said a resident, recalling the bear’s polite demeanor.

This incident comes on the heels of another recent bear sighting, in which a smaller bear wandered into a man’s home and into his kitchen, where it was confronted by its owner, who told it to “get out of my house, Mr. Bear!”

A video of the encounter showed the bear exiting the home, accompanied by another bear peeking out from the bushes.
