Participants at the ongoing “Palestine Solidarity Encampment” at UCLA have requested supporters to bring “vegan” and “gluten-free” food, while also asking for “no nuts” and “no bananas” due to severe food allergies among some participants. The request list, obtained by Fox News’ Bill Melugin, includes supplies for clashes such as “gas masks,” “shields,” and “skater helmets.”
The encampment was recently damaged by pro-Israel vigilantes and has excluded the public and press from the area near Royce Hall on campus. Activists involved in similar protests at Columbia University also demanded food and water before being forcibly removed by the NYPD.
Following the violence, UCLA canceled classes and it remains uncertain if they will resume as scheduled.
