Trump’s Immigration Policy Gains Ground with Hispanic Voters, Leaving Democrats in the Lurch

A surprise guest joined Bill Maher’s podcast, Club Random, to discuss a critical issue: immigration. Unlikely duo Fabio and Maher dove into the recent shift among Hispanic voters, who now increasingly support Donald Trump on immigration policies. The majority of these voters back Trump’s stance on mass deportation of illegal aliens, a concern that Maher believes could spell trouble for the Democrats.

Maher echoed the sentiment on his podcast, stating that Americans often underestimate their good fortune. Fabio agreed, highlighting the stark contrast between the views of Hispanic voters and the Democrats. Liberal data scientist David Shor has long warned the party about the lack of an advantage on immigration, as support for amnesty and a pathway to citizenship barely tops 50% among Hispanic voters, a figure that has remained constant for over a decade.

Shor advises Democrats to focus on issues where they can form a broad coalition, such as healthcare policy, where they have an advantage. However, the party instead shifted its attention to more divisive issues, leading some to view them as extreme or antisemitic.

Meanwhile, the country is celebrating Independence Day, while the Left expresses outrage about perceived American shortcomings. This dichotomy marks a stark difference in perspectives between those who share in the country’s joys and those who view July 4th with disdain.
