Trump’s Defense Accuses Cohen of Lying About Phone Call in Trial

0:00

The defense team of former President Donald Trump accused Michael Cohen of lying about a phone call in October 2016 regarding a payment to Stormy Daniels during the business records trial.

Cohen claimed the call was to Trump’s bodyguard, Keith Schiller, but the defense argued it was about harassing calls from a prankster.

The Inner City Press reported that the call lasted less than two minutes, with Cohen texting Schiller about the harasser.

There were conflicting accounts of whether Cohen spoke to Trump on the call. The defense accused Cohen of lying and relying on documents rather than memory in his testimony. Cohen suggested the call could have been about both Daniels and the harasser.
