Former President Donald Trump addressed the Republican Jewish Coalition’s annual leadership meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada, via satellite, urging attendees to convince fellow Jews to vote Republican in order to protect Israel and America.
Trump began his remarks by paying tribute to Hersh Goldberg-Polin, the 23-year-old American-Israeli who was recently killed by Hamas terrorists, along with five other hostages. He condemned the Democrats for sympathizing with those who perpetrate such evil, calling President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris “morally rotten” for blaming Israel for the terror it faces.
Trump warned that a Harris presidency would mean the end of a pro-Israel ally in the White House, and that America’s own survival would be at risk. He touted his own achievements in Middle East policy, including defeating ISIS, withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal, and recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
In contrast, Trump criticized the Biden-Harris administration for restoring funding to terror-linked agencies in Palestinian areas, removing the Houthis from the list of terrorist organizations, and giving Iran access to billions in funds. He vowed to restore stability to the Middle East through “peace through strength” and warned that a Harris presidency would embolden Israel’s enemies.
Trump noted that a significant percentage of Jewish voters support Democrats, and implored his audience to spread the word about the dangers of a Harris presidency. “If she becomes president, you’re not going to have an Israel,” he said. “Israel will no longer exist.”
The former president received a standing ovation when he promised to deport individuals who sympathize with jihad and Hamas, saying, “If you hate America, if you want to eliminate Israel, then we don’t want you in our country.” He also vowed to crack down on anti-Semitism on college campuses, threatening to revoke accreditation and federal funding for universities that fail to address the issue.
Trump’s message was clear: Jews must convince fellow Jews to vote Republican in order to protect Israel and America. “This November, you must get Jewish people, or people that love Israel, to vote Republican,” he urged. “You must get them to vote for Trump.”
Dr. Miriam Adelson, who introduced Trump, praised him as a president who has already proven his commitment to Israel. “He is our best friend,” she said. “He will save us. And I am eagerly waiting for him to enter the White House and save the Jewish people.”
