Trump Criticizes Trial Pace in Manhattan Case

0:00

Former President Donald Trump criticized the Manhattan trial for his falsifying business records case, alleging that the prosecution and Judge Juan Merchan were intentionally trying to expedite the process in order to harm him before the election.

Trump expressed his frustration with the timing of the case, stating that it should have been brought years earlier but was deliberately delayed to coincide with the election season.

He accused the prosecution of rushing the trial to damage his reputation as a political opponent.

Despite Trump’s objections, court proceedings are expected to resume on Monday, with his defense team preparing to present their case and closing arguments potentially being delivered as early as Tuesday.

Trump also mentioned that he requested a day off from court on Friday to attend his son Barron’s high school graduation.
