Robert F. Kennedy Jr. joined forces with former President Donald Trump at a packed rally in Glendale, Arizona, on Friday night. As Trump took the stage at the Desert Diamond Arena, he invited Kennedy to join him, prompting a thunderous chant of “Bobby, Bobby, Bobby!” from the crowd of thousands.

Trump heaped praise on Kennedy, saying his presidential campaign had resonated with millions of Americans and brought attention to critical issues that had been swept under the rug. He also commended Kennedy’s commitment to the values of his iconic relatives, Robert Kennedy and President John F. Kennedy. “I know they’re looking down on him with pride, and I’m proud of him too,” Trump said.

Earlier in the day, Kennedy had announced the suspension of his presidential campaign, but not before throwing his weight behind Trump in key battleground states. In a speech in Phoenix, Kennedy urged voters in blue states to support him, while endorsing Trump in states where the election is expected to be closely contested.

Trump revealed that Kennedy had reached out to him after a recent close call in Pennsylvania, where Kennedy was nearly assassinated. “Bobby knows what it’s like to take on the corrupt establishment and face the risks that come with it,” Trump said. “But we both know that doing what’s right for the country is worth it, no matter the cost.”
