In an interview with Fox News’s Sean Hannity, Kemp voiced his endorsement for Trump’s presidential bid, saying “We need to send Donald Trump back to the White House.” Trump responded with a post on Truth Social, praising Kemp’s words.

The governor’s endorsement comes as a surprise, given the recent tension between the two Republicans. Just last month, Trump had publicly criticized Kemp, calling him “disloyal” and “very bad for the Republican Party” during a campaign rally.

In a call-in to Fox News, Trump said that Kemp had been “very nice” in his interview with Hannity, and that he was looking forward to having a “very good relationship” with the governor.
