Thomas Guiry, an actor known for his role in the 1993 film The Sandlot, was arrested after allegedly throwing a dumbbell at a neighbor’s car. According to the Horry County Sheriff’s Department, Guiry was charged with third-degree assault and battery and malicious injury to personal property.

After posting a $1,000 bond, Guiry was released from custody the following day. A neighbor claimed that Guiry trespassed onto his property and threw the heavy object through the windshield of a Jeep. Video taken by a surveillance camera and shared by TMZ appears to show Guiry throwing the dumbbell.

The neighbor reported that Guiry was immediately remorseful, stating, “That sucks, man. I’ll pay you back. I’m sorry, I’m gonna get you back.” A police report also stated that Guiry admitted to damaging his neighbor’s Jeep and expressed his apology.

This incident is not Guiry’s first run-in with the law. In 2013, he was arrested for an altercation with a police officer at Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport after being deemed too intoxicated to board a plane. Guiry was charged with a felony charge of assault against a public servant at the time.
