A couple in Memphis, Tennessee, recently reported that a suspected burglar entered their home through an unlocked door, showered, ate some food, and stole about $400 worth of items. Tara Carter and Lucas Healy discovered the intruder had been in their home for nearly an hour when they returned. The Memphis Police Department released surveillance footage of the suspect walking around the duplex on April 27. Carter described finding clothes, a shirt, pants, and socks on the floor, along with their bathtub filled with dirty water and her body wash. The intruder also took a can of root beer, a piece of cheese, clothing, shoes, and items from their closet and laundry. Healy mentioned that the suspect was seen wearing their clothing and left behind black sneakers. The couple, who previously felt safe in their home, now feel violated and plan to take extra safety measures. They expressed concern for their cats’ safety and shared that authorities have not made any arrests or provided additional details on the case.
