An Indiana teenager accused of killing his father is set to face a jury trial in August.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is still on the search for the body of 35-year-old HVAC technician Brandon Perry. They suspect that his son, 17-year-old David Perry, disposed of him in the White River near Martinsville.

Continuous patrols are actively running around the river and the house associated with the alleged murder of Brandon Perry. A police officer at the house declined to respond to inquiries from a Truth Voices reporter.

WXIN reports that Brandon Perry’s sister informed authorities of his disappearance. The recently filed probable cause affidavit revealed bloodstains on the underside of the brother’s mattress and in the basement stairwell.

A cadaver dog directed the police to a burn pit on the property, leading to the discovery of Brandon Perry’s burned license, damaged credit cards, and a business card.

According to court documents, David Perry allegedly informed his aunt that “his dad is in the White River and that he was in a trash can.”

Following an examination of David Perry’s GPS data, he was arrested by the authorities.

Neighbors informed Truth Voices that prior to the incident, the father and son had led a peaceful life, with one stating that news of the crime rattled the neighborhood.

David Perry, charged with murder and illegal possession of a firearm, is currently detained at a juvenile detention facility. He faced his initial court hearing just recently. While David Perry is a minor, the police have not disclosed a booking photo, but have confirmed that he will be tried as an adult.
