Ted Cruz: Kamala Harris Would Govern from the ‘Hard, Hard Left’ if Elected

Senator Ted Cruz appeared on Fox News Channel’s “America’s Newsroom” on Monday, where he shared his thoughts on Vice President Kamala Harris’s potential presidency. Cruz stated that if Harris were to take office, she would govern from a “hard, hard left” stance.

According to Cruz, Harris’s values have remained consistent throughout her career, and her voting record in the Senate reflects her strong liberal leanings. “She has been a hard-left vote her entire life,” Cruz said. “In the Senate, she voted 100% of the time to the left of Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. It’s not easy to get to their left, but Kamala happily occupied that space.”

Cruz also criticized Harris’s past comments, specifically her comparison of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to the Ku Klux Klan during a Senate hearing. “She said people are saying you’re like the Klan,” Cruz recalled. “The head of ICE responded, ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about. We’re law enforcement agents protecting American citizens.’ That’s who she is.”

Cruz concluded that Harris’s attempts to downplay her liberal views during the election are insincere. “The left knows she’s pretending,” he said. “They know it’s all about getting to election day, and if she gets to the White House, she’ll go back to what she’s done her entire life: governing from the hard, hard left.”
