Teacher’s Fiancé Cancels Wedding After Cheating Accusations Arise

An anonymous source close to the situation revealed that the wedding of a man engaged to a Wisconsin elementary school teacher accused of inappropriate behavior with a fifth-grade student has been called off. Madison Bergmann, 24, and her fiancé Sam Hickman were set to marry in July, but the plans have been canceled following Bergmann’s arrest for allegedly engaging in inappropriate behavior with a young boy from River Crest Elementary School in Hudson.

Reports indicate that Bergmann was caught making out with the fifth-grade student, leading to her arrest. The boy’s parents discovered text messages between Bergmann and their child discussing inappropriate encounters that allegedly took place in Bergmann’s classroom during lunch or after school. The boy’s father confronted the school with evidence of the conversations, prompting an investigation by the police.

As a result of the incident, Bergmann has been ordered to have no contact with the victim or any minors and must wear a GPS monitor. The Hudson School District has placed her on administrative leave, and she has been charged with first-degree child sexual assault. Despite the allegations, Bergmann’s fiancé’s friend confirmed that the decision to cancel the wedding was mutual, with Hickman feeling heartbroken and betrayed by Bergmann’s actions.
