Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) stated in an interview on CNN’s “News Central” that there has been no evidence of any crime in former President Donald Trump’s New York business record case.

Host Kate Bolduan mentioned that many Republican lawmakers have shown support for Trump by attending his trial in New York City. She asked Cotton if it was important for anyone aspiring to be Vice President to attend the trial, to which Cotton responded that he had given up his law license 20 years ago and had no plans to return to the courtroom.

He emphasized the importance of legislators focusing on their duties in Washington, such as overturning Joe Biden’s arms embargo and supporting Israel with necessary weapons.

Cotton also expressed his belief that the trial should essentially be over, as the evidence presented so far does not show any crime committed by Trump. He called for a verdict of not guilty to be directed by the judge if the prosecution rests its case.
